Prawn Fry / Iral Varuval:
I started eating prawn only
after marriage, my sister makes nice prawn masala. I started liking prawn
after eating in her home. She adds lots the onion to her prawn
masala. Though I like all prawn in any form now. My favourite prawn
dish is cereal prawn, I will post this recipe soon. This prawn fry is a simple
and quick recipe to follow with very less ingredients

1 kg (Cleaned and devined)

Ginger garlic paste

Red chili powder

1.Marinate the prawns in ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp
chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt for 20 minutes.
2. Add 1/4 cup of water to the marinated
prawns and bring to a boil, reduce to medium flame cook for 8-10 minutes. Turn
off heat and drain if any excess water..
3. Heat oil in a pan, add
the finely ½ spoon cumin, dry chillies, Curry leaves and saute for 1/2 a minute
Now add the
sliced onions and sauté till the onions turn a light caramelized brown approx.
10 mts. now add ginger/garlic paste, 1 tomato finely chopped and fry well. Add
1 tbsp chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and stir fry for 3 minutes.
4.Add the cooked prawns, Sauté
well until it is well combined. Adjust salt and turn off heat. garnish with
coriander leaves.
Serve hot. Just good as
a starter or stir fry with rice.
Notes:
You can adjust chilli powder to your taste.
Dont overcook the prawn.
