GOBI 65/ Cauliflower Fry

Cauliflower 65 / Gobi Fry 65

Vk's and my kids favourite dish, Cauliflower is low in fat and it is a high fibre veggie loaded with vitamin C. Variety of dishes can be prepared with cauliflower, It can be roasted, deep fried, steamed or boiled. In this recipe cauliflower it is deep fried with spices. You can use the same method but instead of deep frying just mix the cauliflower with 2 spoons of oil and can be baked which will be healthier option too.

Baked cauliflower 65 is for people who are in diet and more health conscious but still want a junk bite.

 

Ingredients:

    Cauliflower Florets
20 Nos
    Chilli Powder
1 1/2
    Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp
    Corn flour
3 tsp
    All Purpose Flour
3 tsp
    Garlic
5 (Optional)
    Cumin powder
1 tsp
    Chilli
1 (Optional)
    Lime juice
2 tsp
    Soda
a pinch
    Curry Leaves
1 Sprig
     Water
For the batter
     Oil
For Frying
    Salt
As needed

Simple recipe and a perfect snack, Just in a minute the plate was empty :)





Method:

Soak the cauliflower florets in hot water with salt and turmeric powder for 10 minutes, Drain water completely.

Add chilli powder, turmeric powder,salt,curry leaves, cumin powder, finely chopped chilli, crushed garlic,all-
purpose flour, corn flour, lime juice ,water and make a batter.


Add the drained cauliflower florets into it and combine well.


Heat oil in a kadai, when hot add the cauliflower florets to it.
In a medium fire allow to cook, Fry until golden brown and crisp.


Serve hot with chili sauce, tomato sauce or Mix pepper and salt and sprinkle little on it.
 

Notes:

The crushed garlic gives unique flavour and taste to this dish, if you don’t prefer garlic you can leave it,
This can be served by sprinkle, pepper salt mix for fiery hot taste.

The oil should be hot for frying,
