Spicy Oats Dosai



Oats are packed with many nutrients. It is  high in fiber and  low in fat . Oats stabilises the blood sugar and removes the bad cholestrol from the body ,Prevents against heart disesase and cancer, it is a heart friendly grain. Moreover it tastes good:)).



 Consuming oats weekly twice is as much as good. I always prefer to include more grains into our diet but my kids doesnt prefer Porridge so i made this spicy oats dosa and they din't find any diffrence, they loved it a lot. There are different  version of oats dosa amng which i prefer this because the dosa is very soft and little crispy too. Soon will post the other versions too.

Ingredients:


Method:
  1. Soak the oats in hot water for 15 minutes,Once it is cooled grind the oats in a mixer along with dry chilli,ginger and garlic cloves.
  2. Now add rest of the  ingridients except oil into the batter.
  3. Spicy Oats batter is ready.


Oats Dosa:
 Heat the Iron griddle and grease it with oil when hot pour 1/2 laddle of the batter and gentle spread the batter in the circular motion.



Spread the batter evenly,the flame shouldnt be too low or high , Keep in the medium flame.
Drizzle oil in the center and edges once it is cooked ,flip the other side and cook for 40 secs.
Soft and yummy Oats dosa ready.


You can accompany with Coconut chutney or Onion chutney.,




Tips
1.If the batter is too thick add 1 or more cup of idlli/dosa batter to it.
2.Always  maintain right flame. Pour the dosa batter when it is in  medium flame. 
3.You can add more chilli if you want very spicy.
4. I have addded garlic and ginger to get a flavor and make more tstier.If you dont prefer you can ignore.
5.If you want crispy dosa,you can use little more oil.
6. Compared to normal dosa,it will taste assitional time to cook considering the texture of oats.
7. I have used Rolled oats in this receipe.
